TNR (Stray/Outdoor Feral Cats)

Trap-Neuter-Return Program
Our TNR program has spayed or neutered more than 3,000 Clinton County community and feral cats since the program started in 2014.

Are you the primary caretaker for and are feeding ‘un-owned’ outside cats? Can you help them and us by doing your part to control their population? Trap-Neuter-Return!

This FREE program for Clinton County residents provides a voucher to cover the ENTIRE spay/neuter surgery of as many outdoor cats as you are feeding/ taking care of.

  1. CALL the SPCA first at (570) 748-4756 to arrange an appointment to pick up your free voucher and/or trap!
  2. Call RoseBird Veterinary Center or Dr. Butia Office FIRST to schedule your appointment(s) and trap the cat(s) accordingly. Veterinary practice info is listed on the voucher you will receive.
  3. Bring your trapped cat to the vet directly and coordinate with them. Cats will receive ear tips, will be spayed or neutered accordingly, and will get a rabies vaccine. Cat must be returned to where it was found & must continue to be fed by a caretaker.
