Cooler Cat Project
The Clinton County SPCA collects the coolers that mail-order food (i.e. Omaha Steaks) is shipped in to their customers. We make them into cat houses and then give them to residents in Clinton County that take care of stray or feral cats. These cat houses keep outside cats warm in the winter, cool in the summer, and dry during the rain. They are provided to the community for free.

Sponsorship Program

This is a new program which is just getting up and running. From the time an animal enters the Clinton County SPCA until the time it is ready for adoption, a good deal of money is spent on veterinary costs: spays, neuters, tests and vaccinations. We typically spend an average of $140 on each cat, and an average of $275 on each dog. In some cases, the cost is much more.

By sponsoring an animal you can help offset the veterinary expenses for an animal of your choice. These funds will be used expressly for medical costs – not toward the adoption fee.

When you sponsor an animal you will receive weekly updates and pictures via email while the animal is here at the SPCA until the time the animal is adopted.
Our goal is to receive a number of sponsors for each of our animals. This will help reduce the tens of thousands of dollars that we spend every year on costly yet necessary medical fees.

This is a one time payment of either $20 to sponsor a cat, or $30 to sponsor a dog. These are the minimum amounts, but donating more than that amount is permissible and would of course be greatly appreciated!
