Guardian Angel Program
From the time an animal enters the Clinton County SPCA until the time it is ready for adoption, a good deal of money is spent on veterinary costs: spays, neuters, tests and vaccinations. We typically spend an average of $140 on each cat, and $275 on each dog. In some cases, the cost is much more.  Because we are a NO KILL shelter, costs can really begin to add up overtime. Some of our animals find homes right away, but others have taken up to 2 years to find a home.   By sponsoring an animal, you can help offset the veterinary expenses for an animal of your choice. When you sponsor an animal, you will receive occasional updates and pictures via email while the animal is here at the SPCA until the time the animal is adopted.

This is a one time payment of either $20 to sponsor a cat, or $30 to sponsor a dog. These are the minimum amounts, but donating more than that amount is permissible and would of course be greatly appreciated!

Community Outreach

Volunteer With Us!
Volunteers make everything we do possible here at the Clinton County S.P.C.A. Please let us know your interests and availability, and we will find a volunteer position that is right for you! Please stop by to fill out a volunteer application or contact Marissa Henry, our shelter’s Community Outreach Coordinator, at

Trap/Neuter/Return Community Cat Project
The TNR Community Cat Project has spayed and neutered more than 1500 Clinton County community and feral cats in the last two years. If you would like to become a volunteer or would like more information about this project, please contact the shelter at (570) 748-4756.

Cooler Cat Project
The County S.P.C.A. collects the coolers that mail-order food (i.e. Omaha Steaks) is shipped in to their customers. We make them into cat houses and then give them to residents in Clinton County that take care of stray or feral cats. These cat houses keep outside cats warm in the winter, cool in the summer, and dry during the rain. They are provided to the community for free.

When you can’t be with your pet, trust them to us… We love them like our own!

The Clinton County SPCA offers a full service boarding facility, which is completely separate from our animals up for adoption!

Boarding Rates:

  $9.00 per day

All pets must be current on their vaccinations at the time of boarding.

To make a reservation, please call 570.748.4756
